Two-table operations - Table editing tools

A tool for editing two tables at the same time, which allows you to: extract/remove rows with a selection list, extract rows by matching reference columns, merge tables by the difference between reference columns, and align two tables.

In case of very large tables (many thousands of rows), the table preview (not the data) needs to be limited to pre-set maximum numbers of rows and columns to prevent slowdown or even freezing of the app. Some patience still may be needed with bigger data.

QUICK HINTS

Data input

Paste delimiter-separated values in the "Input A" and "Input B" fields or open csv or tsv files. You can copy-paste data from MS Excel (they are tab-separated when copied to clipboard).
Select proper Delimiter A in the "Reading data" section and press the "Read Data A" button. Do the same for data B.
Check the table in "Table Preview" field. The values should be properly distributed in table cells. If you see all values in the first cell, probably a mistaken delimiter has been set. Correct the delimer choice and click "Read Data A" (or "Read Data B) again. Visual inspection of the input data could provide a clue about the delimiter.

Data export and saving

After the required operation has been done, the data can be saved into a file by pressing the "Save to File" button in the "Output Data" field header. The values will be separated by a delimiter chosen from the dropwdown menu. If needed the data can be saved with quoted values.
The output data can also be copied into system clipboard and pasted in a spreadsheet software e.g. MS Excel. To select all data, click in the Output Data area and press Ctrl+A on the keyboard. Copy data by Ctrl+C and paste them elsewhere with Ctrl+V. MS Excel may require pre-selecting all cells in an empty table to properly distribute the copied data in cells.
The preview table is not editable, nor the data can be copied from it. Its purpose is only the inspection of input data and changes made by the program to the data.
